Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Carboful, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
2. Services Provided
Carboful is a marketplace platform that connects buyers with verified carbon offset projects. We facilitate the purchase and retirement of carbon credits from internationally recognized registries.
3. Account Registration
To purchase carbon credits, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Purchases and Payments
All purchases are subject to:
- Availability of carbon credits at time of purchase
- Successful payment processing through our payment provider
- Verification of your account and transaction
Prices are displayed in GBP and are subject to change. Once a transaction is completed and credits are retired, it cannot be reversed.
5. Carbon Credit Retirement
When you purchase carbon credits through Carboful, they are immediately retired in your name on the official registry. Retired credits cannot be resold or transferred. You will receive a retirement certificate as proof of offset.
6. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of carbon credits (they are retired immediately upon purchase), all sales are final. Refunds are only provided in cases of platform error or fraudulent transactions.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on Carboful, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Carboful or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
Carboful acts as a marketplace platform. While we conduct due diligence on all projects, we do not guarantee the performance of underlying carbon projects. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the transaction in question.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
